Beeman selling his honey

So, this is the end result of what I do and where many of you can find me educating about Honeybees and selling my products. I would like to share the process in getting it to you, with you…

Jess (left) and Amanda (right)

For several weeks now I have bee-n exchanging phone calls and emails with Amanda and Jess who have expressed an interest in working with honeybees. We ventured out to a couple sites to see how the winter was on the “girls”. There were active hives at this location, and I almost needed the epi pen which we got some laughs from.  We bee-gan to set up 7 more hives to bee populated at the end of this month.

Honeybees that made it through the winter

A good amount of bees that survived the brutal winter. I found the queen yesterday and she was actively laying, so I hope this hive will grow quickly.

Amanda enjoys Honey Comb fresh from the Hive!

Amanda getting a taste of the honeycomb right out of the hive. A little bread, cheese and Merlot…all would bee perfect!

Here, at this location, things were a little different…

Here we find not only "Mickey", but 1/2 of the Magic Kingdom too!

Oh, look at the mice, see how they run…

Muchos Mice.

We lost track after 15 or so, looked like at least 3 different litters in ages…set them free not so close to the hives…

The "extended" mouse family...cluster mouse?

Moving along down the rails…

...and on to the next hive...

Thank you Amanda and Jess for your interest and patience this morning. Tell your friends to look out for our Facebook page “Aquidneckhoney” and our blog, “https://aquidneckhoney.wordpress.com/” you are welcome anytime to visit and install the bees when they arrive later this month!
